Kali, meaning ‘Time’ is a name traced back to early Bengal beliefs.
Most commonly understood in her Destroyer aspect, Kali is the full Triple Goddess of the Hindu Religion. She is the ocean of menstrual blood out of which comes life and the devourer of her own children.
Kali, the graveyard dancer, wears a garland of skulls. As terrifying as this seems, it symbolises how liberated her children are from attachment to the body and limited ways of thinking.
Kali destroys to make room for new life.
Kali leads us through challenging times into manifesting our true self.
